Vladimiro Cardoso Feliz is from Porto, where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering – Production Management specialization and complemented his education with an executive postgraduate degree in Finance, both from the University of Porto.
His career has been dedicated to technology, people, cities and sustainability, marked by diverse roles and contexts in the private, public and non-profit sectors. He began his professional career at the Portuguese Electrotechnical Institute in the pre-sales area, and was a Program Engineer on the Airbus A400M project at OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal.
He has held various leadership positions, including Executive President of the Foundation for the Dissemination of Information Technologies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Porto Digital, PortoLazer and the Porto Tourism Association, as well as chairing ADDICT – Agency for the Development of Creative Industries.
Between 2006 and 2013, he was part of the executive team of Porto City Council, where he served as Councillor for Education, Youth, Innovation, Tourism, Leisure and Environment, oversaw the Studies and Planning Office and held the position of Vice-President during the second half of the last term.
Since 2013, he has been part of CEiiA – Centre for Engineering and Development, where he currently serves as Director of the Smart & Sustainable Living Unit, having previously held positions as Chief Information Officer, Head of Smart Cities and Head of People and Digital Technology. He is also President of the Healthy and Sustainable Cities Section of APDC – Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications.
