THE STARTUP
Merytu is a Portuguese digital platform that connects, in real time, companies in the hospitality industry with independent professionals through an app. We facilitate personalised identification of talent and flexible work opportunities, whether occasional or regular, automating the matching between professionals and establishments according to specific needs. Launched in May 2021, merytu was created to transform the working paradigm in the hospitality sector, promoting a model based on self-determination, transparency and work-life balance. Our purpose is to create value for companies and professionals, elevating team management with greater agility and efficiency.

Rita Harries Regional Expansion Manager
Rita Harries is Regional Expansion Manager at merytu, responsible for designing and implementing the regional expansion strategy, ensuring consistent implementation aligned with the company’s vision, values and growth objectives. With a degree in Hotel Management from Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo, she began her professional career in international contexts, with experience in Mozambique and England. Throughout her career, she has been part of leading hotel groups such as Starwood and Marriott, where she started her activity in Human Resources, subsequently developing roles in Food & Beverage and Event Management. With deep knowledge of hotel operations and talent management, Rita Harries combines strategic vision, field experience and strong execution capabilities, playing a decisive role in merytu’s sustainable growth in new markets.
