David Vidal is the Managing Director of Amadeus for Spain and Portugal since January 2026 and Director for Customer Success in Southern Europe since 2023.
In addition to his role as Managing Director for Spain and Portugal, David continues to lead Customer Success for Southern Europe, a crucial area for the company, combining it with his role as General Manager for Travel Sellers in Spain and Portugal.
In this role, he leads the company’s commercial strategy for product adoption and business development in Southern Europe, covering the markets of Spain, Portugal, Italy, Israel and Greece.
He is responsible for customer relationships and development, including offline and online travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators and other travel brokers. As Managing Director, David is responsible for Strategic Leadership and Market Development for Spain and Portugal, ensuring alignment with Southern Europe’s objectives.
He also expands the company’s market presence by driving the adoption of travel technology solutions among agencies, tour operators and consolidators, both in person and online.
David’s key responsibilities include increasing sales and profitability through new business development, managing profit and loss forecasts and ensuring financial targets are met.
He is also responsible for negotiating commercial agreements with major vendors and travel partners to maximize revenue streams. As Director for Customer Success in Southern Europe, Vidal’s responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, increasing the adoption of Amadeus solutions and driving the implementation of a new generation of distribution platforms for business and leisure travel agencies in the Southern Europe region.
With more than 18 years of experience in the company, David Vidal’s career is closely linked to the distribution sector in the travel industry.
Vidal has developed his professional career in companies such as Air Europa, Mapfre, Vivatours and Barceló.
