Mário graduated in Business Management and Administration from FE-UNL in 2008 and completed his master’s degree in Business Management at CLSBE in February 2010, having received the Boston Consulting Group Award in 2009 during his master’s program. He is currently a doctoral candidate studying Strategic Decision-Making.
He began his career in 2008 at BAIE, an African investment bank, as a risk and project analyst. Since then, he has been a Product Manager at L’Oréal, Account Manager at LG, and Consultant/Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, as well as a manager at Santander’s web portal, Universia (the world’s largest university community at the time). He also served as an advisor to Portugal’s main banking union.
In parallel, Mário accumulated 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, with ventures in restaurants, retail, communications, and consulting.
Since 2010, he has been a Professor teaching Strategy and Marketing courses at Católica Lisbon SBE.
Since 2023, he has led the ride-hailing vertical of Estonian startup Bolt in Portugal.
