Information
Mário Linhares (Lisbon). He studied at António Arroio, got his degree in Landscape Design and then in Product Design. He worked in those fields, but pretty soon his childhood passion won out and he dedicated himself to Drawing. He loves walking and biking and hanging out with friends. Co-founder of Urban Sketchers Portugal, he was education director of the international movement from 2011 to 2019. During the pandemic, he led four projects: 5 Minutes of Drawing (FBAUL); USk Talks (Urban Sketchers); Sketch Tour Portugal (Tourism of Portugal) and Zambujal 360 (Ad Gentes).
He coordinates art and social projects, and has written several books, including the award-winning Travel Journal | Ivory Coast, which won a prize in France. He contributes drawings and articles to different books, exhibitions, talks and conferences in Portugal and abroad. Traveling, drawing and researching is what he loves doing most.
