Tânia-Makiese Areias is co-founder and Partner of Making Communication & Experiences Powerhouse, which integrates her previous company, Kiesing Human Brands, an agency specializing in brand strategy and digital communication focused on humanizing brands and positive social impact, and Gato Escaldado, an agency specialized in communication and cultural content production.
She is a guest lecturer in ISEG’s Skill Up For The Future program. With executive education in Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creativity from the University of Cambridge (2023), a Master’s degree in Digital Communication (2012), and a degree in Economics (2003), Makiese (as she likes to be called) brings an innovative approach to branding, applying ESG principles and the Human Brand Model to create brands with personality, values, and cultural impact.
Her 21-year professional career includes experience at companies such as Auren Auditores, Capgemini Portugal, Diversey Portugal, and Grupo Barraqueiro, where she led projects in strategic marketing, digital communication, and institutional relations. In the 2000s, at the beginning of her career, she was a project manager for EQUAL Social Innovation projects.
Passionate about Culture, Experiences, and Impact, she believes that brands can play a crucial role in building a more just and equitable world, creating not only economic value but, above all, human value.
